Border Blockades have been re-established

NEWEST UPDATE! Latest news is that the blockade of the Bosnian border has been lifted, so it is again possible to pass between Bosnia and Croatia. The advised blockade of EU and Serbian borders for 14.04 is still planned, and might happen sooner. However, the underlying problem is unfortunately unchanged. Drivers are still being stopped, arrested and even receiving year long quarantines from entering EU, all based on these regulations. This is resulting in very significant effects on truck capacity and availability, and as mentioned before, the problem is only getting worse until a solution hopefully is found. There are some indications of negotiations happening, but nothing concrete at the moment. So currently, it must be expected that there can be delays in loading and delivering. We are of course doing out best to navigate these issues for minimum effect for you, but it is a very difficult situation. We will of course continue to keep you updated.
UPDATE! Please note that that issues between the haulers of the Balkan countries and EU have still not be resolved and now again a blockade has been established of the Bosnien/EU border, and soon also the Serbian border is expected to be blocked.   This is already now resulting in much lower capacity of trucks in Europe, a situation that is only expected to get worse unfortunately, until a resolution is found.

Due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East and its significant impact on global oil markets, we are adjusting our fuel surcharge adjustment mechanism. This means there can be delays in loading and also deliveries to this region. Keep in touch with you NTG Neptun contact for latest updates.

The current extraordinary and unpredictable market conditions have led to substantial volatility in fuel prices. Diesel represents a significant part of our operating costs, and these price fluctuations are beyond our reasonable control. We are already experiencing increased costs from our transport partners, which directly affect the cost base of our services.

As a result, and in accordance with force majeure, we are revising the frequency of fuel surcharge adjustments. The updated adjustment mechanism applies to all customers, regardless of whether the fuel surcharge is shown as a separate item or included in agreed prices.

For customers where the fuel surcharge is currently included in the agreed rates, a separate surcharge will be applied going forward. This surcharge will reflect the difference between the fuel surcharge already included in the price and the most recently updated applicable fuel surcharge.

Effective no later than 16 March, the fuel surcharge will be adjusted on a bi‑weekly basis in order to reflect current market conditions as accurately as possible. This change is a necessary response to the exceptional volatility currently affecting fuel prices.

The purpose of this adjustment is to ensure transparency and a fair and accurate reflection of actual fuel costs during a period of market instability. Once market conditions stabilise, we will of course revert to the previous adjustment frequency.

We appreciate your understanding and continued cooperation. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
