Potential Road Transport Disruption at EU Borders

UPDATE! The blockade was lifted friday 30.01 in the late afternoon, and the borders are open again. However, due to many trucks having waited at the border, and the disruption of the usual flow of trucks, there can be delays in both delivery and loading in the coming time. Starting January 26, 2026, road carrier protests are expected at Schengen borders with Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. These actions may block crossings for several days, causing significant delays or temporary suspension of road transport services.

The protests are in response to the new EES regulation, which limits the duration of stay in Schengen territory for professional drivers from non-EU countries.

It is uncertain how long this may last, but we are continually monitoring the situation, and will do our best to handle it.
