Career and Development

At RTC, you’re not just an employee – you’re an essential part of the whole. It’s your effort, your ideas, and your energy that help drive our company forward and shape our shared future. We believe in internal development, whether you start in customer service, the warehouse, or an administrative role. That’s why we offer a range of opportunities that support both professional and personal growth. Below, you can read more about the various development opportunities available at RTC.

Development Opportunities

We regularly encourage our middle managers to participate in leadership courses to expand their competencies. In the warehouse, we offer relevant training such as forklift certification and van licenses.

During our annual performance reviews, we always ask about employees’ interest in further education, such as courses.

In our customer service department, employees have the opportunity to ride along with drivers, attend electrical courses, or try working in one of our operations departments.

“Throughout my time at RTC, I worked as an operations manager until I was recently promoted to department manager for a newly established furniture division. My responsibility is to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. This includes identifying errors and deficiencies, communicating with drivers, and more. Everything happens in close collaboration with all our departments—especially our other furniture division, as we are closely connected and in regular contact with our customers.”

Trainee Programs at RTC

We have a strong ambition to further develop curious and engaged employees. That’s why we’re open to offering trainee programs when there’s mutual interest.

We provide our trainees with a valuable and varied experience, where they get to combine theory and practice in a fast-paced industry. As a trainee at RTC, you gain insight into the entire process—from receiving goods to final delivery to the end user.

Many of our trainees also find great opportunities for employment after completing their education.

Our trainees’ journeys

“On a daily basis, I work in the company’s operations department, where my main tasks include communication with drivers and hauliers, as well as handling ad hoc and special assignments. I was hired in 2021 as a part-time warehouse employee and have since had the opportunity to work in several different departments. The strong camaraderie among colleagues and the variety of tasks have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.”

Benjamin
Freight Forwarding Trainee

“I started part-time in customer service, which quickly turned into a full-time position. After two gap years, I was ready to begin my higher education. I was offered a trainee position specializing in Freight Forwarding and Shipping. I’ve worked in various departments, which has given me a solid understanding of the company. We have a great collegial community, which makes coming to work even more enjoyable.”

Simon
Freight Forwarding Trainee

“When I started in customer service, I immediately felt that my thoughts and ideas were heard. Before long, I was offered a trainee position. The best part is that no two days are the same, and you’re given responsibility—even as a trainee.”
